Award Categories
Students are limited to one category each and a single student cannot receive more than one SFS scholarship.
BS/MS (3 academic years): students combine their senior year for their Undergraduate degree and two academic years for their Master's degree.
MS (2 academic years): for students who are only pursuing a Master's degree.
PhD (3 academic years): for students who are only pursuing a PhD.
The recipients of the scholarships in the first two categories must receive an MS degree in one of the following programs:
Complete the chosen degree program successfully and on time.
Fulfill a post-graduation service obligation to the US Government: For each year of scholarship received, work one year in a cybersecurity-related position for a federal agency.*
Complete a summer internship with a participating federal agency for every year in the program.
Participate in the SFS job fair that is held every year.
* Positions in state, local, tribal, or territorial governments may be allowed.
